Here at Business Website Mastery, we like to experiment and make test. So, what you are reading now is a test, where we want to test if we can get any benefit of creating a post here that is also posted on our Google My Business. We will use the tool called WordLift that helps us to markup our post. The GMB only allows us 300 words so we need to be clever.
Google My Business is a central storage of your company’s data on Google so, searchers can find your service and products when they search in your category of business or in a sub-category. Here, we are writing about Google My Business, which is normally shortened GMB. It is a free service from Google which enables Local Business to get better seen on Google searches if they optimise their GMB properly hence, get more local traffic to their shop or business.
How Are We Getting More Traffic To Our Website?
In this post, I’m writing about GMB’s and one of the ways Business Website Mastery is getting more traffic is writing about how we can help business in our Local Area being Lincoln, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Peterborough, Chesterfield and Coventry with their Local SEO. See below the area we are covering
So what is the experiment then? Well, we have made this post and try to mark it up and by linking to the markup in our GMB Post we would like to test if it has any influence on our rankings in the 3 pack in Google Maps it might have it might not but we will write about it when we estimate results should show up normally within a 21 days frame.
